Laminating & Spot UV Department
Central Press was the first to introduce thermal lamination in large formats using state-of-the-art machines, which apply all kinds of lamination from gloss to matt and textured to embossed lamination and Spot UV.
An addition to our wide scope of lamination options is the scuff-free (scratch proof) lamination.
Cutting Department
Because producing a high quality end product requires precision from A to Z, we, at Central Press have integrated the highest speed programmable cutters capable of repeated jobs from POLAR into the establishment to ensure optimal precision in any cutting job desired.
Folding department
Although the art of folding is widely neglected in the industry, we, at Central Press however, regard it as a great asset to our establishment, thus we were the first to install high-end folding machines such as Heidelberg’s Stahl Folder which can achieve up to 10 folding variety combinations, ideal for commercial printing, as they are largely used in the production of top quality brochures, maps, leaflets and booklets.
Sewing Department
Since sewing is an essential Post-Press process which prepares for binding, Central Press has installed two automatic book sewing machines from the leading manufacturer ASTER, these up-to-date machines have the distinctive top-technology feature of an embedded electronic reader which detects and rejects any double or missing signatures in addition to top quality sewing, this ensures the completion of the sewing process with ultimate precision, resulting in thorough preparation for book-binding.
Binding Department
Rather than a few separate machines, Central Press made sure it invests in a complete system to serve both the soft cover and hardcover divisions of the bookbinding department. Depending on what the job entails, this department is fully capable of producing the highest standard in books, magazines, annual reports...Etc, custom tailored to every specification in a minimal length of time.
Soft Cover
The soft cover system by the leading Swiss manufacturer Muller Martini is specially designed to produce a book or a magazine as a whole, thus consisting of fully automated binding lines, starting from gathering stations, to stitching, hot melt glue, cover application, trimming and finally packaging.
Hard Cover
The hardcover division comprises of Kolbus binding machines which perform very high precision cloth and board cutting and case making. Kolbus’s comprehensive book production line insures perfection in all stages involved in hardcover book production, starting from end paper application, passing through back gluing, drying, ribbon inserting, gauzing, headband application and arriving at casing-in on the book block and pressing. The end product is a complete hardcover book of outstanding quality.
